Texprocess launches own Pavilion at Techtextil India

16 Mar 2016

International exhibitors benefit from the Texprocess brand expansion in a growing market

Texprocess, the leading international trade fair for processing textile and flexible materials, launches a Texprocess Pavilion at Techtextil India in Mumbai, from 13 to 15 September 2016. For the first time, international exhibitors of garment-manufacturing and textile processing technologies will have the opportunity to present their innovations under the Texprocess brand in India. The pavilion is organized by Messe Frankfurt India, a subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt.

Messe Frankfurt currently holds two international shows under the Texprocess brand in Frankfurt and Atlanta. “Texprocess brings together the garment-manufacturing and textile processing industry from all around the world making it the leading fair for the sector. We want our customers worldwide to benefit from the opportunities Texprocess offers them to present their products and to accelerate their business growth. Setting up the Texprocess Pavilion at Techtextil India was a logical step in our brand expansion strategy as India is one the most promising textile markets”, says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles and Textile Technologies at Messe Frankfurt.

Texprocess is always held in parallel with Techtextil, the leading international trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens and takes place every two years. Presenting the complete textile creation value chain, the successful trade fair duo offers exhibitors of garment-manufacturing and textile processing technologies as well as of technical textiles and non-wovens various synergy effects.

The Indian textile processing and technical markets both offer comprehensive growth potential. In 2015, exports of German sewing and garment production technology to India went up by around 28% compared to 2014 making Germany one of the most important countries delivering equipment to the country.

Due to the growth of the Indian economy, domestic demand for high quality textiles and private consumption of textiles are growing constantly. The country therefore invests in textile processing technologies as well as research and development in the textile sector. Out from this dynamic development the demand for a high-quality trade fair that attracts trans-regional interest evolved.

Techtextil India has been established in 2007 and is part of the “Technical Textiles and Textile Processing” brand within Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network. With a unique portfolio of 49 international fairs for the textile sector, Messe Frankfurt is the world’s market leader when it comes to trade fairs for the textile sector. In 2015, around 19,000 exhibitors and approx. 465,000 visitors attended the company’s events around the globe. Held biennially in India, the next edition of Techtextil India will take place from 13 - 15 September 2017.
